-SAILAWAYS-

Our Sailaways are based on our shell builds and include the following:

  • Solid gunmetal portholes
  • 2 double opening side hatches.

These are made from stainless steel with double glazed, toughened glass. (4 on boats over 55’’)

  • 1 roof hatch in the fore cabin

(stainless steel with double glazed, toughened glass.)

  • 1 Houdini hatch in the rear cabin.
  • Spray foam insulation and battening
  • Floors in the fore and rear cabins (18mm hardwood ply)
  • Covering for the engine room hatch in the wheelhouse
  •  Anchor set up:

        Carrieanne:

         25kg Danforth, 10m chain, 40m rope

        Mary Sophia or Thomas:

Manual Vetus winch with 50m chain and 50kg Halls anchor.

(A very attractive anchor for this style of boat!)

  • Steering (manual hydraulic), wheel and throttle controls
  • Engine installation:

        Carrieanne:

        Barrus Shire 65Hp.

        Mary Sophia or Thomas:

        Vetus Deutz 114Hp.

This is a superior engine, with enough power for all conditions this Cat C/B boat may meet).  It is raw water-cooled.

  • Drive chain, including propeller, shaft, coupling etc
  • 2 or 3 bilge pumps.  (The Thomas 50 has 3 separate bilges, and so has 3 pumps.)
  • Fire safety (3 extinguisher and blanket)
  • Plank, ropes, side fenders, pins and hammer.

There are many extras that can be added to this sailaway, from bow thrusters to electrics, and from lining to painting. We are happy to give you an individual quote for your specific requirements.

The wheelhouse is extra. Please see the Wheelhouse section in Complete Boats for more details.
