-Part Builds-     -Sailaways-     -Complete Boats-     -Premium Builds-

Our vessels are all completed to a very high standard using quality materials and skills (blended with the latest technology).  We do not produce a standard boat, but rather specialise in providing customers with an individual boat, with personalised design.  The Gallery shows a selection of our range of styles.

We always enjoy the challenge of a new customer’s concept for their boat.  As you can see form the gallery, we have produced a range of styles, with influences from Art Deco or Art Noveau to country cottage, or contemporary/modern styles.

Fitted, hand built furniture is standard, but we are happy to leave space for your own loose furniture if required.

The following gives an impression of what our boats include:

We generally line our boats with tongue and groove timber above the gunwale and on the ceiling.  This helps to emphasise the lines of the boat.  This has included redwood pine, oak, American elm and ash.   Below the gunwale we panel with birch ply or veneered plywood.  This is finished with hardwood trim or heavier paneling for a more traditional look.

All boats have individual layouts.  Longer boats afford more space and can include extra bedrooms and en suites.  The choice of rear cabin or larger wheelhouse and/or aft deck strongly influences the design.

  • The hull and cabin side are all spray painted in 2-pac paint for a superior finish.
  • The roof and decks are painted in a non-slip paint.
  •  On the Thomas there are two lockers and a well deck for ropes, fenders and other equipment.

The following gives an impression of what our mid priced boats would include:

  • In one of our bedrooms you would expect to find a bed, full height wardrobe, and bedside cupboards, all built in.  There would be additional storage and shelving.
  • Our bathrooms include macerator toilet, basin, vanity unit and bath or shower.
  • Our kitchens include a full size cooker, fridge/freezer and sink alongside ample worktops and storage.
  • In the galley there would be a fitted sofa with storage below, cupboards and shelving.
  •  The floors have included tiles, oak, teak and carpet.  We have recently installed a polished concrete floor with under-floor heating to one of our boats!

The Wheelhouse:

We produce a range of wheelhouses, in stainless steel or teak and can be single glazed or double-glazed.

  • The stainless steel wheelhouses are fully collapsible and offer a very practical option, with extremely low maintenance. They also create a modern twist to the traditional lines of a Dutch barge.  The can be painted to match the boat if desired.
  • Our teak wheelhouses are built by one of the country’s leading wheelhouse specialist. The design is elegant and practical. Very easy and quick to erect and take down.
  • Both types are built with safety glass, mortise locks, and solid roof made in sections for ease of use.

Price variation depends on detailing, such as opening windows, style and glass specification etc. Extended wheelhouses may be more.

We encourage anyone interested in having a boat fitted out, to contact us, to discuss your requirements in detail.
